An ageless portrait
I have made a very personal portrait drawing of my parents.
Making a portrait is not easy to do, certainly if it's someone you know very well and love. You want them to be recognisable and preferably 'perfect'!
Impossible I found... but then again nobody is... are we?!
Because most of you don't know them personally, I added the photo's of which the drawings are based on.
With their portrait I wanted to express, above all, their marriage bond. Even though it are two A3 drawings, they actually belong together.
They were married for almost 50 years, we were busy with the festive preparations, when dad died 1,5 month ahead. This was 11 ye
